Richard Osborne has been selected to receive the Rolf M Sievert Award at IRPA 13 in Glasgow next May.  Following the award Dr Osborne will deliver the Sievert Lecture.

The IRPA Executive Council held its last meeting before IRPA 13 in Glasgow next May.  The meeting was held in Seoul Korea, hosted by E.C. member Jong Kyung Kim.

The ICRP Main Commission meeting was held the week of April 17-21, also in Seoul.  A brief meeting summary is presented on the IRPA Home Page.

The ILO has issued a call for experts to assist with a project to assess the radiation exposure of truck drivers who must remain in their vehicles when passing through cargo scanners at border crossings. 

 The ICRU has selected Prof Dudley Goodhead, former Director of the Medical Research Council's (MRC) Radiation and Genome Stability Unit at Harwell, UK to receive the 15th Gray Medal at the 14th International Congress of Radiation Research meeting to be held in Warsaw, Poland next August.  Professor Goodhead is also an Honorary Fellow of SRP.

 A video on the History of IRPA is now available.  It was prepared by IRPA Past President Geoff Webb (also an SRP Past President and Honorary Fellow) and part funded by the SRP who also arranged production of the video.
