7 May 2001 Recital: This is an internet forum (the 'Forum') set up by the International Radiation Protection Association for use by its members ('IRPA Members') to review all relevant existing codes and to develop a set of principles that could serve as a Code of Ethics for IRPA societies which they could adapt to their own specific situations. It is open until 28 May 2004. The Forum is administered by the Society for Radiological Protection (the 'Society') on behalf of IRPA. Forum Members (as defined below) have access to the website feature Polls, but do not have access to the website features Members, Files, Calendar, Links, Database, Chat. 1. Acceptance

b. Posted messages are distributed directly to the Forum. c. Attachments will be stripped from all messages before distribution to the Forum. To let other Forum Members see a file, invite them to email you off-Forum asking for the file. Alternatively, place it on your own web site or FTP server and provide the address. d. IRPA does not monitor postings except as set out at Clause 8. Any views expressed in the postings are not necessarily endorsed by IRPA. 5. Content of Postings
b. Avoid sending a message in anger. All messages should be polite, professional and impersonal. Examples of unsuitable content include but are not limited to: i. Repeated announcements.c. Each message should include your name and email address and the name of the IRPA society of which you are a member. d. The subject line should be concise and no longer than 30 characters and spaces (more might not be displayed). e. Your message must not copy material that is displayed elsewhere on the web. Instead, give the web address and an indication of the content. f. The language of the Forum is English. 6. Replies
b. Replies should be concise. Do not quote the whole of the message to which you are replying but delete all of the text apart from the specific points you are replying to. c. Replies are addressed to the Forum by default. For personal replies you must change the address to avoid embarrassing yourself and IRPA. Negligent use of the reply facility may prejudice your Forum membership. 7. Archive

If on any working day the monitoring cannot be performed, the administrator may select the option "Messages Off (no one can access the Message archives; archiving is suspended)". d.
