This webinar discusses different types of criticality accidents and their implications for radiation protection. Main consequences of unchecked criticality accidents are outlined together with methods to achieve effective protection for individuals and the environment from such accidents. 

Presenter

Dr Ahmed Aslam is a Physics and Digital Technologies team leader and a Chief Technologist at Jacobs.  He is a recognised world expert on physics and Digital Technologies and manages high profile technology and R&D projects. He has over 30 years’ experience working in the nuclear industry, specialising in criticality, neutronics, shielding, virtual engineering, emergency preparedness and Decommissioning. He has authored, reviewed and contributed to various criticality safety guidance documents and is currently a lead consultant on Fukushima Fuel Debris Recovery and Norway Reactor Decommissioning projects.
