Re-Opening of Abstract Submission until 29 February 2012. Any new abstract submissions can only be considered for poster presentations.
Also a reminder that the Congress may be able to offer bursary support to selected delegates.

Member First to Receive New RWA Certificate

A little bit of history was made recently at Atkins Ltd, when Dr Allan Ashworth CRadP MSRP was presented with Radioactive Waste Adviser (RWA) Certificate 001.

SRP member and Scottish Regional Group Co-ordinator Bob Kerr spent a rather unusual Christmas on a mountain expedition in Antarctica. Bob reached the summit of Mount Vinson on Christmas Day, braving temperatures as low as -55 degrees. He's hoping to confirm that he is the first Briton to reach the summit of both Mount Vinson in Antarctica and Gunnbjørn Fjeld in Greenland, the two highest mountains in their respective continents. The final Government Guidance on the new environmental legislation is now available together with the first sections of Regulator Guidance. The presentation slides and exercise answers from the Exemption Order Workshops are now available here.
