The Society's Journal contains learned papers on scientific and technical matters, letters, book reviews, reports of meetings, information on instruments and news of the Society. The Journal also contains notices of forthcoming meetings, conferences and courses in radiological protection.

The Journal of Radiological Protection is issued free of charge to members of the Society and is available on subscription to non-members and institutions.

The Journal publishes articles (in English) on all aspects of radiological protection, including non-ionising as well as ionising radiation, from fields of operational interest, research and development to education and training. The very wide spectrum of its research topics includes: dosimetry, instrument development, specialised measuring techniques, epidemiology, biological effects and environmental impact and risk assessments.

Contributions will be considered for publication provided they have not been published previously and they are not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Reports that are not available to the general public will not be regarded as prior publications. Articles based on theses or dissertations for degrees may be submitted.

For further information, including how to submit papers and news and information items, see the Journal of Radiological Protection Institute of Physics Publishing site.
